Born in 1992 in Lower Saxony (DE) and raised on a farm, I developed a love for music and dance as a child. Together with my best friend, I was always the first on the dance floor—especially at children's birthday parties.

Since my dual studies in occupational therapy, I have specialized in the motor development of children and adolescents. In my work in a child and adolescent psychiatry, I successfully established Hula Hoop Dance as a therapeutic medium. My belief that Hula Hoop Dance makes a valuable contribution to therapeutic work is based on my own positive experiences and the many benefits of this dance form.

With my occupational therapy background, I find it easy to precisely convey new motor sequences and quickly identify 'breakdown points' in my course participants. With patience and empathy, I support my participants in learning new Hula Hoop tricks.

Today, I perform as La Hula Lady at festivals, celebrations, and private events. It brings me great joy to share my passion—whether through workshops at festivals or in various institutions. I offer Hula Hoop Dance workshops for all levels.

In October 2025, I will host my first Hula Hoop retreat, the Hula Harmony Retreat. Together with my retreat partner Anne AKA Anbelyn, I look forward to seeing you there!

At an Acroyoga retreat in autumn 2018, it clicked. On a Saturday evening, during a dance event with a DJ, I spotted a blue-silver-striped Hula Hoop in a corner. 'Hmm, Hula Hoop—I've never tried that,' I thought. In fact, I had never shown interest in Hula Hoop as a child or at festivals.

Curiously, I picked up the hoop, tried to keep it on my hips a few times—and it worked! Moving to the music, I immediately entered a flow state and fell head over heels for these colorful plastic hoops.

After the Acroyoga retreat, one thing was clear: 'Now I am completely in love with HULA HOOP!' Since then, I've danced almost every day and can't imagine life without Hula Hoop.

Hula Hoop originated in ancient cultures: Thousands of years ago, children in Egypt and Greece played with rings made of dried vines and willows. The modern Hula Hoop boom began in the 1950s in the USA when Wham-O popularized the plastic hoop as a toy under the name 'Hula Hoop.' The term 'Hula' refers to Hawaiian Hula dance, as the hooping movements resemble it. 'Hoop' is the English word for a ring.
